It's a Fact...
In today's world of busy schedules, we sometimes lose touch of the fact that our own relatives were involved with production agriculture in some form or fashion. Many of us can remember going to Grandpa's farm or have heard stories from our grandparents about their experiences down on the farm. For others, time has completely removed their direct touch to agriculture.
Statistical Abstract of the United States
49% of the population was considered rural in 1920
15% of the population was considered to be farmers and ranchers in 1950
Today, farmers and ranchers represent
less than 2% of the total population.
